| Chief Information Commissioner calls on Governor | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Oct 5: G. R. Sufi, State Chief Information Commissioner, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here last evening.
During an hour long meeting, the Governor and Mr. Sufi discussed several important matters relating to the role of the State Information Commission in furthering the interests of good governance.
Interalia, Mr. Sufi briefed the Governor about the specific measures being taken for enhancing awareness among the people about their rights and privileges under the State Right to Information Act 2009 and, side by side, sensitizing the public services cadres about their duties under the law.
