| Free Medical and eye check up camp held by ASCOM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, October 5: Senior Doctors from Batra Hospital conducted one day free medical and eye check up camp at the complex of Hari Prabhu Ashray Regd. NGO on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.
During the camp more than 350 patients were checked up for various diseases. These patients were from Tehsils of Billawar Basholi and Ram Nagar.
Out of these, 30 patients were screened for cataract surgery who were operated free of cost at Batra Hospital Sidhra. Sanstha provided free transportation from Nagrota Gujroo to Batra Hospital for the patients to be operated.
. Besides check up, free medicine were also distributed to the poor and needy patients.
The team of doctors led by Dr. P. Sadhotra HOD Ophthalmology included Dr. Happy (S.R) Eye, Dr. Deepa Bakaya - Skin Specialist , Dr. Sandeep Kour, Asstt. Prof. -Gynae , Dr. Sidarth- Paed. and Dr. Adil -Physician.
Professor Sat Pal Srivatsa, Patron of Sanstha welcomed the team of doctors from Batra Hospital for providing Medical facilities in the remote, hilly and backward area.
On this day, Sanstha also distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 23,000/¬among 5 poorest, meritorious and orphan girls sanctioned by SBI Ramkot under "SBI Girl Adoption Scheme".
