| Thousands took part in Arti at Har- Ki – Pauri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5:While religious fervour and devotion marked the Ramnavmi celebrations across Jammu today, the Tourism department in collaboration with District Administration organized a religious come cultural function at Har- Ki Pauri as part of its campaign to attract the pilgrims to the places of religious importance in the city of temples.
The congregation also marked the concluding event of the eight day Navratra festival-2011 organized by the department every year to promote pilgrimage tourism in this region of the state.
The congregation witnessed huge rush of devotees at the Har-ki- Pauri on the bank of River Tawi where series of special prayers, including Pooja Archna, Arti was performed amid chanting of hymens.
The highlight of the programme included, Devotion Song by Ghulam Mohd. And Party, Devotional Song with dance by Vijay and Party besides one hour Cultural programme by Bharatiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan.
Deputy Director Tourism, Ajay Sharma, Assistant Director Tourism, Ashima Sher, other staff members were also present on the occasion.
