| Polls in National Conference to Take Place Soon: Farooq | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR | OCT 05, 201:National Conference president Farooq Abdullah today said the party elections will be held very soon in Jammu and Kashmir.
"The party elections will be held very soon and according to the constitution of National Conference and on the manifesto of 'New Kashmir'," Abdullah said in a statement issued here.
Abdullah said the elections will be held in a phased manner with village and block level polls being held in the first phase.
"Only those people should be elected as office bearers who are clean and honest and there is no objection to their election later on," he told a gathering of party workers.
The NC leader urged workers to strengthen the party at all levels as it was not just another party but a "movement".
