| Christians demand reservation in state legislature | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5:A meeting of all India Masih Seva Dal was convened today at Bethel Church Christian Colony, Vir Marg, Jammu.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Rev. Shoukat Peter-chief patron All India Masih Seva Dal, in which personalities namely Rev. Issac Bhatti-Chairman all India Mashi Sev Dal, Rev. Inderyas Jamal-vice chairman all India Mashi Seva Dal, Camres David –president All India Mashih Seva Dal.
Representatives from other areas of the Masih Seva Dal were largely present in the Meeting
In the meeting Camres David ( Babblu) said that there is need for the constitution of Jerusalem Haj Committee in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that 2 percent reservation in Government jobs is urgently needed for poor Christian educated youth who when apply for jobs are treated in General Category.
David also demanded that J&K Minority commission be reconstituted and at least one member from the Christian community may be included in the Minority Commission besides reservation of one seat of MLA, MLC in the state Legislature be reserved for the Christian Minority.
