KISHTWAR, Oct 5:Substandard works in Roads and Buildings department, Kishtwar gets exposed when the blacktopping started vanishing from the roads within few days after the department finished the work.
According to the residence of Poochal, Panditgham and Palaiz Kishtwar, the department has executed the substandard work, despite the general public raise concern over it. People of Paliaz said that department has executed the work on duty road surface having lot of mud deposition, beside mud the official of the department even fails to lay the layer of crusher stones required before the execution of blacktop. Similar concern was also raised by the people of Village Pochhal and Panditgham.
All the three areas where the substandard work of black topping took place fall within the vicinity of District Headquarter Kishtwar. The people urged upon the government to take necessary action against the culprits who not only betrayed the government, but also swindles the funds worth lacs of rupees meant for the development of the people. The resident of Pochhal said that despite several complaints to the higher ups, no one pays any heed to their concern. They demanded stern action against the officers involved in this heinous crime.
