| MoS Defence visits Sainik School, Nagrota | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 5:Union Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju today visited Sainik School Nagrota on the final day of the 41st All India Sainik Schools Principals’ Conference being held in the school.
After witnessing a spectacular Guard of Honour presented by the cadets in their immaculate turnout, Minister spared time to relish a delicious lunch at the Cadets’ Mess.
Gp Capt Ajay Kumar, Principal Sainik School Nagrota welcomed the Minister and gave a brief introduction about the noteworthy achievements of the school in the recent years.
Lauding the school band’s musical performance in the mess lawns, the minister presented them a token of appreciation.
After a brief photography session with the Principals of Sainik Schools, the minister attended the closing ceremony of three day long Principals’ Conference at the Conference Hall.
Upamanyu Chatterjee, JS (Trg) & CAO, MoD presented welcome address.
Following review report by the Inspecting Officer Brig B Ajit Kumar, the minister presented trophy for maximum NDA entries to Sainik School Imphal and Merit Certificate for Best Class XII results to Sainik School Ghorakhal and Merit Certificate for Best Class X results to Sainik School Gopalganj.
In his address, the minister commended the efforts of all Principals towards the overall progress of Sainik Schools and expressed confidence that they will continue to fulfill the mission for which they have been appointed. Hony Secy Ravindra Prasad Brig B Ajit Kumar IO (A) and Gp Capt VT Parnaik IO (P) were also present during the occasion.
A colourful and captivating cultural programme was also organised in the evening at the Bowli area of the school to entertain the guests.
