Jammu, Oct 6:Emboldened by six Dogra organizations to support All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) in its hunger strike and agitation for enactment of a law for management of Hindu shrines and temples in valley, more Kashmiri Pandit organizations have also announced their beginning from tomorrow.
Extending its full support to APMCC, the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) not only assured full support to the agitation but has announced that the organization leaders will join the hunger strike fully.
KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri in a statement from New Delhi today while justifying all six point charter of demands of APMCC said all KP leaders should join the hunger strike at Jammu from tomorrow and stress on passage of the Bill and said religious places Bill will and solution of other issues raised by APMCC.
He said there is a serious concern among the community on the deteriorating condition of Hindu shrines in valley and any further delay in passage of Hindu shrines and religious places Bill will prove counter-productive.
Kashmiri said the movement launched by community will continue till it reaches to its logical conclusion as community will no longer tolerate encroachment of land belonging to Hindu religious places. Besides KPC all State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has also extended its full support to APMCC in its struggle and decided to join the hunger strike launched by the organization.
ASKPC general secretary H.L.Chatta while pledging support to APMCC warned the state Government in case it further delays the passage of shrines and religious places Bill. He alleged hundreds kanals of land belonging to Hindu shrines and temples has been encroached by anti social elements by mutating the revenue records. Such an attempt by revenue officers has been a cause of concern for the community which is left with no alternative but to come to streets for the cause.
Chatta while justifying demand that Pandits be permitted to visit world famous Sharda shrine in POK said Pandits have an emotional attachment with godess Sharda which is the presiding deity of Kashmir. “when Muslims from Pakistan are allowed to visit Ajmer Sharief in Rajasthan and Sikhs from India are free to have pilgrimage of Nankara sahib in Pakistan why the Hindus from J&K as well as India cant visit Sharda temple” he asked.
Chatta accused the government of India not taking the issue seriously with Government of Pakistan. All displaced KP youth Forum while supporting APMCC’s strike call has urged its workers to join the struggle physically from tomorrow.
