NSF holds one-day convention for activists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RS PURA, Oct 6:National Secular Forum organized a day long convention for its activists at Tehsil office RS Pura. A Large number of activists attended the convention and discussed the various issues related to border area youths. NSF noticed that there are lot of problems that are being faced by the students and the people of this place and nothing has been done so far by the government to overcome these inconveniences that are being faced by the residents of that place. On the occasion Vikas Sharma State President NSF, was the chief guest, Surjit Choudhary District Chairman NSF was the guest of honour, and Tehsil President Rocky Choudhary presided over the convention. Addressing the convention Vikas Sharma President NSF welcomed the youths who joined the National Secular Forum. He said that problems being faced by the youth in these areas should be taken on top priority and apart from this the youths from the border areas should be given preference in government jobs and other services. He said that while ALC category is given to the youth who are putting up near line of control, the youth belonging to border areas should also be given quota. Vikas Sharma added that the government has made hollow promises with thousands of youth in border villages. “It was promised that youth residing in border villages will be given preference in police department and special recruitment drive will be conducted for them. While other villages in Jammu were covered under the drive, the areas falling in R S Pura sector were ignored and youth were deprived of their legitimate rights,” the NSF chief said.
