| AJKMPJ for dedicated fight against corruption | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 6:All J&K Movement For Peace & Justice (AJKMPJ) appealed to the activists from different political parties, social organizations and Civil Society to unite for a joint and dedicated fight against all those corrupt high ups who are responsible for the unrest and economic backwardness in the state as well as Centre.
In a press statement issued here today, AJKMPJ activist Kuldeep Kumar Rao said that efforts should be to sideline all the corrupt and uproot the politicians who are least concerned about the woes of the common man but are concerned only with furthering their own interests.
He said in India we have been burning the effigies of Ravana along with those of Kumbhkarna and Meghnada for thousands of years. The ritual symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. It was meaningful and inspiring till a few decades back when people were God fearing, has not turned into hardened criminal and had not developed that cunningness which to day has let loose a reign of all round corruption including a heartless adulteration in eatables which has jeopardized the health of the whole nation.
In such a scenario, let the government and the public kill the real Ravanas first and then celebrate the ritual otherwise spending lakhs of rupees in making the effigies of Ravana et el and then burning them looks mockery especially when Ministers and politicians repeat the ritual yearly.
