| Aged and infirm enjoy artistic magnificence | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu: Taking a divergent course from its routine weekly Friday series , Nav Durga Kala Manch today embarked upon a unique idea of reaching the aged and infirm while producing a scintillating evening dedicated to the people at Vridh Ashram at Ambphalla.
The Nav Durga Kala Manch team presented ‘ Ek Sham Aapke Naam—a fusion programme that included besides a play , a string of musical presentation based on Dogri folk.
The team through the efforts of Aaditya Bhanu produced a hilarious one act comedy which was enacted by Dilshad Shazi, Tarun sudershan Vasson and Dhanesh Dogra that gathered thunderous applause from the audience which were the old people of the vridh ashram.
The actors produced scintillating combination through there acting prowess that generated great laughter and made the day for the aged people of the ashram.
A musical presentation followed thereafter in which Nidhi Kaila, Supriya Sharma, formed a combination while rendering different folk songs which were cherished by the audience. Music was arranged by renowned composer. Yash Pal Yash while Parvinder Singh was on tabla..
Jammu Kala Mandir joined in the efforts to make Ek Sham Aapke Naam a memorable evening for the old er people who enjoyed while reliving their past golden memories. The entire evening at Vridh Ashram lit up to the grandeur of the event which brought cheers on the faces of the abandoned people at vridh shram who later shared their views with the team and hoped that such like events would be held in near future also .
Aaditya Bhanu, the team manager of the event while speaking on the occasion said that since he is regularly doing Friday series theatre in his Performing Art Studio would now be expanding his activities to such areas where the people of different segments of the society too could also be roped in.
Ek Sham Aapke Naam turned out to be great success as one hour programme was equally cherished by the inmates as well as the management of the Home for aged and infirm
