JAMMU | DEC 7 The Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu (JU) organized an Inter Departmental / Collegiate Elocution contest at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium this morning. The topic of the contest was “How far the vision presented by Gandhiji in the Hind Swaraj, is relevant in the present context”. Manish Parashar from Atman College of Education, Jammu was adjudged as first whereas Deep Naval Kour from the Department of Zoology and Magandeep Kour from Govt Degree College, Kathua secured second and third position respectively. The certificates of merit were awarded to Shivani Sharma, Govt Degree College, Kathua, Tanvi Mahajan from Govt Women College, Udhampur and Neeraj Sharma from GGM Science College, Jammu. Prof. Ved Ghai, Prof. Rita Jitendra and Dr. Anurag Gangal were among the adjudicators. Earlier, Prof. N R Sharma, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee delivered the welcome address.
