Pathania rues poor educational facilities in Ramnagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Ramnagar, Oct 7: While taking a potshot at the authorities-that-be for poor state of educational facilities in Ramnagar, as well as making the innovative concept of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan totally redundant in Ramnagar, R.S. Pathania, a prominent lawyer and senior Youth Congress leader has sought provision of adequate staff in various schools of Ramnagar. While quoting few instances, he said that High School Rasli Gaderan, has five teachers including head master against 450 students, High School Pachound has five teachers against 210 students, Middle School Chari Bangala has three (one teacher + two RETs) teachers against 90 students, Primary School Thildu has one teacher against 60 students, High School Sunetar has 9 teachers against 300 students, High School Bari has 3 teachers against 300 students and Primary School Sidha has become defunct as it sans any teaching faculty. While in Higher Secondary School Khaned posts of five masters grades including Principal are vacant, Higher secondary Schools at Marta, Keya, Thail and Chowki are languishing for want of proper teaching faculty and laboratories and libraries. And High Schools at Sia Maheri, Chigla Balota, Rang, Bainsta and Middle School Paley are under staffed. Similarly, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalya at Dudu-Kirchi has failed to operationalise till now and about fifty vacancies of ReTs have not been filled for one reason or the other in Dudu educational zone. He further said norms and standards set for fresh construction under SSA are being flouted with impunity and indifference. The extra-legal and out-of-way constitution of Village Education Committees in Ramnagar runs in total face of Govt. order No. 600 Edu of 2009 Dated 31-07-09 which clearly stipulates that these Committees have to be constituted by Z.E.Os in collaboration with the village headmasters after calling the general meetings of respective villages in presence of local Panchayats. And the said govt. order is very explicit stipulating as to who shall be chairman, convenor and member of the Village Education Committee with a least space for any political intervention or transgression. But the said government order is being thrown to winds by the Education Department and the newly framed committees are but party-units of a particular political party. He further lamented that Education sector is lagging far behind in Ramnagar with schools san necessary infrastructure, adequate staff, avenues for sports, recreational and cultural activities, drinking water and electricity provisions, toilets, access to computer education, proper implementation of centrally-sponsored schemes and provision of scholarships and incentives to pushing and deserving students. Prominent among those who accompanied the Youth Congress leader in the tour included Bhushan Modi, Tirath Ram sarpanch, Yog Raj sarpanch, Raj Kumar sarpanch, Jag Mohan sarpanch, Mulkh Raj sarpanch, Farooq Ahmed sarpanch, Mansukh sarpanch, Bihari Lal, Romesh Kumar, Bimla Devi, Guddi Devi, Ganesh, Tarsem, Raj Kumari, Sansar Chand, Virender Singh, Dharam Chand, Krishan lal, Dhani Ram, Mulkhi Ram, Hans Raj Karlupia, Om Parkash and a wide galaxy of local leaders.
