PDP leader laments slow pace of developmental activities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, Oct 7:Senior leader of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Shakir Siddiqui has expressed his displeasure and dissatisfaction over the developmental activities in district Kishtwar which he said are going on at a snail’s pace. He also registered his resentment over the non availability of funds for the purpose of development in district Kishtwar. PDP leader further said contractors are not getting their payments for the works which they have already executed. He said that state Govt headed by Omar Abdullah has brought this state at the brink of disaster. There is rampant corruption in the state and the survival of common man has become almost impossible. Common man's back has been broken by the sky rocketing prices of essential commodities especially the edibles like rice, flour, sugar, pulses and vegetables, he added. Siddiqui further said that the state Govt has lost the mandate of the people of the state and therefore has no moral right to stay in office even for a moment. He urged the state Govt to provide at least six months free ration to the people of dist. Kishtwar has the district. Has suffered a severe draught and people are very disappointed.
