| SRTC Pensioners Welfare Association demands release of COLA | | |

The State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) Pensioners Welfare Association has demanded the early release of the payment of duly sanctioned 34 COLA slabs w.e.f Jan’99 onwards and also demanded the issuance of pending 50 percent DA / ADA merger in basic pay and basic pension w.e.f Apr’04, which is pending in the Finance Deptt for issuance of formal orders.
Ajit Singh Adyal, President Jammu Province and Ghulam Mohd, President Kashmir Province in a joint statement stated that the erstwhile GTU retired / deceased families are suffering since seven years due to non issuance of 50 percent DA / ADA. Both the leaders appealed Minister of Finance and Planning, Tariq Hamid Qarra to intervene into the matter and issue necessary orders for the early release of the funds. The meeting was also attended by K L Sehgal, Mohd. Saleem Qureshi, K C Manhas, Sewa Singh and others.
