| PHE employees hold protest | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, October 7: The Employees and Workers of PHE department of Jammu region held protest demonstration in all their respective PHE Divisions such as, PHE Samba, Kathua, Aknoor, Nowshera, Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Darmari, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur etc.
In Jammu the employees of PHE City - I, Mech. Div South, PHE Rural Div, PHE. Mech Div North, Procurement Div. Ground Water Drilling Division etc. assembled in thousands in front of the office of chief Engineer PHE Department.
Under the banner of PHE employees united Front, the employees are struggling for the long pending demands of the employees for the last so many years such as releasing of remaining 1 % day's ex-gratia pay, releasing of enchanced wages at the rate Rs. 125/- per day in favour of PHE DRW and C.P Workers and be disbursed regularly before 5th of every month, all sorts of workers those who have completed 7 years tenure be regularised, benefit of SRO-59 as already given to the existing categories of employees be regularised conducting of D.PC meeting for all categories & grades and the 4th class employees dislocated due to transfer policy be brought back to their home towns etc.
They warmed the authority concerned that if the demands of the employees are not settled within two weeks time, the PHE united front will be forced intensity the agitation.
