| Humming Buds visits fire station | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 7:Humming Buds the preschool of Model Academy arranged an exciting trip to the Fire Station at Gandhi Nagar to acquaint students with the knowledge of how fire fighters protect the community.
The children who were 100 in number had a very interesting session at the Fire Station as they interacted with officers of Fire and Emergency Services who explained to the students about the importance of fire safety.
They also told them regarding the hazards of playing with fire. The children were shown special equipment used by the brave fire fighters in different rescue missions like Fire Rescue Tender, Fire Entry Suit, Fire Chemical Suit, Victim Location Camera and spraying foam, which is used to extinguish fire caused by oil. Live demonstration was also given to the students in which they were shown functioning and sound of siren of fire engine. Little buds enjoyed every bit of the demonstration. The teachers of Humming Buds thanked fire department for their services and for providing valuable information to the students, which was a lifetime experience for them. The entire programme was coordinated by Rupa Gupta, Principal, Ruchika Gupta, Project Director and Gayatri Kotwal, Coordinator.
