Display Your Talent | GCW Parade wins semi classical vocal (solo) event | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 7:In the on going “Display Your Talent” 2011-12 organised by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, the semi classical vocal (solo) competition was held today. Mukteshi Sharma from Government Women College, Parade bagged the first prize, while Bandana Kalotra and Amneet, both from Govternment Women College, Gandhi Nagar, were adjudged as second and third respectively. The results of the essay writing competition which was held on September 28 were declared today. Swati Vijay from Govt. Women College, Parade fetched the first prize while Anjali Devi from Govt. Degree College, Reasi and Priyanka Sharma from Govt. Degree College (Boys), Udhampur bagged the second and third prize, respectively. Rakshit Sharma from GGM Science College, Jammu and Mamta Manhas from Govt Degree College, Reasi, were awarded Certificates of Merit. Dr. Tejinder Gulati and Nand Kishore Pal, were the experts for the Semi Classical Vocal (Solo) while Dr. Meghana Dhar, was the Teacher Incharge and read the Rules and Regulations for the event. The programme was compeered by Rani Kumari, Secretary, Students’ Cultural Council. Amarpreet Singh Bali and Samarpreet Singh Bali both Alumni of the University presently at San Francisco, America, both Alumnus of the University, were the Special Guests. Prof. N.K. Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare and Prof. Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, University of Jammu, distributed the prizes.
