CM must step down for impartial inquiry into the case : Shiv Sena

Jammu, Oct 7: The activists of Shiv Sena (Bal Thackery) on Friday staged a demonstration a noisy demonstration against the ruling coalition and demanded dismissal of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Led by the state president of Sena Ashok Gupta, the activists chanted anti-government slogans and demanded Chief Minister’s resignation following alleged custodial death of NC worker Syed Muhammad Yousuf in Sriangar.
“The investigating agencies could not conduct impartial and fair investigation till Omar Abdullah is holding the post of the Chief Minister. He must step down for impartial inquiry into the case,” he said, adding “The government should also order CBI inquiry to bring the culprits to justice.”
Referring to “cross voting” by the BJP MLAs during the Legislative Council elections, the Shiv Sena leader asked whether the government initiate action against the “guilty” MLAs.
The protestors also threatened to intensify their agitation in days to come if the Chief Minister did not submit his resignation.
