Money involved speaks about credibility of NC's 'ordinary worker' | Yousuf Shah 'Death' mystery | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 7 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his father Dr. Farooq Abdullah have both denied close proximity with deceased high profile National Conference (NC) worker Syed Mohammed Yousuf Shah but the amount of money involved itself speaks ostensibly about the credibility and accessibility of this man. Though Abdullahs and alongwith them entire National Conference (NC) has been dismissing Shah as an 'ordinary worker' who knew none beyond the official address of the Chief Minister and Union New and Renewable Energy Minister but it is strange to note that despite being an 'ordinary' worker, Yousuf was reportedly offered the NC ticket for Home Shalibug constituency. Despite being an 'ordinary worker', two middle rung leaders of National Conference handed over Rs. 1.18 crore to Yousuf to arrange a ministership and a legislative council seat for them. Both the leaders namely Abdul Salam Rishi of Akingam (Kokernag) and Muhammad Yusuf Bhat of Ganderbal are well known in their respective areas. Locals do not hesitate in saying that both are clever and ace workers of NC. They maintain that in no circumstances would these two handover such a huge amount of money to an 'Ordinary worker'. They assert that Yousuf was known as a problem-solver or in other words 'fixer' for politicians and political aspirants. Omar may be talking about evidence and he needs to be told about the story of another politician, who ordered mass murders and is yet to be either arrested or even held guilty. Omar may not accept but the man had such credibility that he was offered such a huge amount of money by two ace NC workers. No commission would be able to probe deceased Yousuf's unbridled access to the homes and offices of National Conference (NC) patron and union minister Farooq Abdullah. State government had given to him a personal security officer (PSO) and a security vehicle yet he was an 'ordinary worker'. This ordinary worker knew, according to a newspaper report, food Farooq Abdullah liked, his tastes, and what he generally ate for breakfast, lunch or dinner. He knew what furniture they had in their home. Besides, none may ever ask the father-son duo but it would be matter of probe where the money paid by the two NC workers has gone. Abdullahs may deny but this and many other questions would continue to haunt leadership of National Conference (NC) for all times to come. |
