NIA claims major breakthrough, another suspect picked up for questioning | New Delhi High Court blast case HM militant's medico brother under scanner, family claims innocence | | Asif Iqbal Naik KISHTWAR, Oct 7 : In its first major strike in India, world most dreaded organization Al-Qaeda's name has surfaced in ongoing investigation by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with September 7, 2011 blast outside Delhi high Court. After the arrest of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik from Delhi airport, NIA sources have claimed major breakthrough in ongoing investigation into Delhi High Court blast. Sources in NIA said that they managed to arrest Wasim Akram Malik son of Reyaz-Ul- Hassan Malik resident of Girinager Kishtwar from Delhi airport three days ago. Sources said that Wasim Akram Malik who is doing MBBS from Bangladesh is an active member of Al-Qaeda. They said that Malik is key member among the conspirators who were behind the execution of Delhi High Court blast in which 15 people got killed and as many as 80 others got injured. Sources said that the real brother of the accused Dr Wasim is an active militant of Hizbul Mujahideen, working under the control of another HM militant Amir Hussain Kamal @Akram. They added that both these militants are under the direct control and command of HM Supreme Commander Jahangir Saroori, one of the longest surviving militant active since 1989. Sources said that Dr. Wasim along with two Bangladeshi nationalist working for militant outfit Harkat-Ul-Jehade-Islami (HUJI) visited Kishtwar after Eid-ul-Fitr and contacted Junaid Akram Malik who according to well established sources gave the consignment of explosives to his brother and some over ground workers of HUJI. They transferred the explosive to Jammu, from where he along with the two Bangladeshi nationalist carried out the blast outside the Delhi High Court. According to the sources, Dr. Wasim hatched the conspiracy of Delhi blast at Bangladesh some two months before the execution of blast. Sources said that after hatching the conspiracy of Delhi Blast in Bangladesh, Dr. Wasim reached India few days prior to Eid-ul-Fitar and later shifted to Kishtwar accompanied by two Bangladeshis. Sources said that Dr. Wasim, Bangladeshi Nationalists held the meeting with Amir Abbas Dev and Abid Hussain Dev on 4-09-2011 and handed over the drafted email material to Amir Abbas Dev who act as a coordinator between Dr. Wasim and teenager Abid Hussain Bhawani, who later created an email account on the name of HUJI and sent the email to various media house to claim the responsibility of Delhi High Court blast. NIA sources said that after taking the consignment of explosive in the form of IED from Junaid, Dr. Wasim shifted the same to Jammu along with two Bangladeshi nationalist. Sources said that after reaching Jammu on 6-09-2011, Dr. Wasim along with one Bangladeshi Nationalist boarded the bus during night hours and reach Delhi on next day and executed the blast outside Delhi Court. Sources said that after executing the blast outside Delhi High Court, Dr. Wasim returned back to Jammu and joined his family members. Sources said that Dr. Wasim in a well coordinated manner executed the blast in Delhi and return back to Dhaka within two days as if nothing had happened. Sources said that after execution of blast, Amir Abbas contacted teenager Abid Hussain in Kishtwar and handed over him the draft of email and accordingly Abid sent the email from Global Internet Café Kishtwar to various media houses claiming the responsibility of the blast outside Delhi High Court. Sources said that NIA is looking for two Bangladeshi nationalists. They said that Dr. Wasim was won over by Al-Qaeda members during his stay at Bangladesh and entrusted him with the job of execution of terror activities of Al-Qaeda in India. NIA believes that Dr. Wasim will be handy in providing the details of Al-Qaeda and HUJI network in Bangladesh, who are working against the peace and tranquility in India. Meanwhile, NIA produced Dr. Wasim before special at Patiala court and sought his remand for 15 days on the plea that he was a key conspirator cum executor of the blast outside Delhi High Court in which 15 peoples died and as many as 80 others got injured. After hearing learned council, judge sanctioned 15 days police remand of Dr. Wasim to NIA. Special Judge today also extended the remand of accused Amir Abbas till October 14 and sent another accused Abid Hussain to juvenile home in Delhi till further orders. After NIA told the court that it needed more time for custodial interrogation of Amir Abbas, Special NIA judge H S Sharma extended Dev custody by seven days. Meanwhile the family members of the accused Dr. Wasim Akram Malik deny charges of NIA. Ashfaq Hussain, Maternal uncle of Dr. Wasim when contacted said that Dr. Wasim is an innocent. He said that he (Dr. Wasim) has no hand in Delhi blast and accused NIA of framing him in false case so as to cover up the real culprits who were still at large. He said that his family played an important role in unearthing the upper ground nexus of HM militant outfit in Kishtwar with the arrest of Azhar Ali Butt presently lodged in Kot-Bhalwal jail. He said that it was due to enmity of Azhar Ali Butt towards his family members that he was in search of an opportunity to defame the name of his family. He also denied the reports of arrest of Dr. Wasim from Delhi Airport, while he (Dr. Wasim) was about to leave India. "Infect we asked Dr. Wasim to come back to India, since NIA wants to quiz him in Delhi blast Case," said Ashfaq Hussain. He said that after receiving the call from family members, Dr. Wasim without wasting anytime boarded the flight and reached Delhi. "My sister and brother-in-law kept waiting for his son Wasim till he reached Delhi and later handed over him (Dr. Wasim) to salutes of NIA team at Delhi Airport," added Ashfaq. |
