| KCCWL holds AGB meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Oct 8: The fifth Annual General Body meeting of Kashmir Women Credit Co-operative Limited was held recently.
The meeting was presided over by chairperson and CEO of KCCWL, Nighat Shafi Pandit while Usha Vohra, First Lady of the State was invited as the Chief Guest
In her address Usha Vohra emphasized the need for setting up women banks and micro-finance institutes run by the women and work for the empowerment of women.
Khem Lata Vokhlu, Chairperson Social Welfare Board, Nahida Soz and Shahida Khanm, Deputy Registrar Co-operatives J&K were also present in the meeting.
KWCCL, first of its kind in Kashmir provides primary banking services to women and works in the field of micro-finance in the Valley.
Keeping in view the above enumerated difficulties, it was need of an hour to establish a women Bank in Kashmir that can overcome these difficulties.
