BVP organises National Group song competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 8: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) today organized National Group Song Competition at Government Degree College for Women (GDCW) Gandhi Nagar. Eleven teams in Hindi and six teams in Sanskrit category participated in the event.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Dilbagh Singh was the chief guest on the occasion while Deputy Commissioner Income Tax Rakesh Kumar was the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP appreciated the efforts of BVP of helping the poor people of the society and also inculcating the spirit of patriotism and love for the country among young boys and girls.
Addressing the gathering, state president BVP, Lalit Mahajan disclosed the organisation is running projects like diagnostic centre, super specialist hospital besides undertaking various development activities. Later, prizes were also distributed among the winners of the competition. Prof Nalini Kohli was guest of honour on the occasion.
Dr D R Kotwal brief the dignitaries present on the occasion about the activities of the BVP with particular reference to the permanent projects which had made good impact in the society.
