| BSF havaldar killed, son hurt in road accident | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 08: A BSF havaldar was today killed and his son wounded critically after
their motorcycle was hit by a truck on the national highway near new bus stand at
Samba, about 45 km from here.
BSF havaldar Madan Lal (45), son of Methi Ram of Dhiani, was going on his
motorcycle, with son Sachin Atri (10) sitting on the pillion seat when a speeding truck
(JK02T/8721) hit them near new bus stand at Samba.
Police said while Madan was killed on the spot, Sachin survived with critical injuries. He
was admitted to the GMC hospital here.
The truck was seized by police but its driver managed to flee. A case was registered
against him at Samba police station.
