Romila Basent and Priya Khajuria from the Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu, were adjudged as First and Third whereas Surbhi Sharma from the Govt. Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu bagged the Second Prize in the Classical Dance (Solo) conducted by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu under the on going “Display Your Talent” 2011-12 at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Sumukhi Vaid from Govt. Women College, Parade and Palvi Kotwal from Govt. Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Prof. V.N. Kohli, Shilpa Jamwal and Arti Mahajan, were the experts in this event.
Prof. Dhian S. Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, was the Chief Guest on this occasion and in presence of Prof. N.K. Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Neeru Sharma, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. Anupama Vohra, Vinay Thusoo, Public Relations Officer distributed the prizes amongst the winners.
Dr. Savita Nayyar, was the Teacher Incharge and read the Rules and Regulations for the event.
The programme was compeered by Rani Kumari, Secretary, Students Cultural Council whereas Joginder Singh acted as Time Keeper.
The programme was held under the supervision of the Vijay Atri assisted by Dharampal Sharma, Gurpal Singh, Kulbushan Thakur, Balwant Singh Slathia, Surinder Singh Bhalla, Mukesh Kumar, Hardeep, Singh Ram pal, Arun Kumar, Satish Kumar, Yash Pal and R.P. Singh.
