| Why silence over sale of political berths in NC...? | | Dr Mustafa says PDP is power hungry | | Early Times Report
srinagar, Oct 8: The Additional General Secretary and spokesman of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Dr. Mustafa Kamal said Mehbooba Mufti's outburst against Delhi establishment yesterday is a manifestation of the frustration that has beset PDP which is power hungry. He said Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his entire brigade have always indulged in manipulative politics to grab power.
Dr. Kamal needs to answer the simple question as to which party is under the scanner for selling political berths for money?
Ignoring completely what happened at the CM's residence on September 29 and has been happening in the state ever since, the NC's new additional general secretary has decided to issue statements without trying to understanding their deeper implications.
Dr. Kamal said the entire drama enacted by PDP was to unseat the Omar led coalition government and they raked up this whole controversy to put pressure on Delhi. He said the moment the PDP realized that Delhi establishment have understood their machinations and are paying no heed to their unsubstantiated, baseless, motivated and malicious propaganda they started Delhi bashing thereby exposing their real intent of grabbing power by hook or by crook.
If the entire drama has been enacted by the PDP then why does not the government register the FIR for fraud against the PDP? Omar Abdullah has said it was their party worker who was a crook and now his uncle says it is the PDP that is the party of crooks. Was the slain NC worker an activist of the PDP?
National Conference spokesman said PDP leadership has always indulged in double speak and have always sided with the Delhi establishment when in power or in quest to grab power and always been critical of Delhi when out of power.
PDP looks at New Delhi for power and what had Omar Abdullah rushed to New Delhi for just two days back? Had he gone there to have a closer look at the Jantar Mantar?
Dr. Mustafa Kamal said people of the state remember PDP's offer to Congress high command after 2008 elections to provide unconditional support to the party with the sole objective of keeping National Conference out of power despite a clear mandate of the people of the state for a National Conference led coalition government thereby making a desperate last minute effort to subvert the will of the people of the state. He said people of Jammu & Kashmir have also not forgotten the dubious role PDP played in destabilizing the Azad led government in 2008 and then the effort to subvert the elections of 2008. He said the only politics PDP knows is a politics of dubious machinations of destabilizing the state's political framework.
As a political party and the arch rivals of the NC isn't the PDP within its rights if it told the Congress to accept its support to keep the NC away. What has the NC done by accepting the Congress support? Aren't they keeping the PDP away from getting into the driving seat?
Dr. Kamal should do his home work before issuing political statements of the kind he is presently doing. Some times silence is better than a million words. This is proved by Dr. Kamal's assertions that the PDP is a party of crooks while it is only the saints in the NC who demand, accept and manipulate huge sums of money for political gratifications in J&K. |
