| MLCs, MLA’s burden on the state exchequer: AJKMPJ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 9: All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice demanded Governor’s rule in the state due to failure of government at all fronts.
It urged the President of India, and the center Government to impose the governor’s rule in the state keeping in view various factors including rising corruption in the state, anti-national agendas by separatists and top political parties, custodial deaths, political corruption, cash- for-MLC scams, cross voting scam etc.
The leaders of BJP, PDP & NC are working for their vested interests and people are suffering. No business took place during the budget session while political parties also created same ugly scenes in this session just for their personal motives.
They also urged the central government to inact Jan Lok Pal Bill as drafted by Anna Hazre and his team in the parliament.
All J&K Movement For Peace & Justice also termed MLCs as burden on democratic system which also fails to project public issues in the assembly. Movement termed the situation as most unfortunate as they have failed to project the unlimited issues of the public during the session.
They are either found active in promoting the ruling parties agenda or the motives of the different faction/groups only.
The members also criticized the leaders of the political parties for defeating the actual purpose of the legislative council i.e to nominate the prominent/ visionary/ literate and non political persons in legislative council in order to justify the aspirations of the masses in an effective way but on the contrary nominations have/ are proved as awards either to the defeated candidates of the political parties or the rich face of the society, ignoring their actual worth.
