Every year govt claims that it has stocked adequate essential commodities with winter round the corner all its assertions prove mere rhetoric at the time of emergency .Shortage of cooking gas ,K.oil , fire wood and other food grains during winter in this area is a routine matter every year .
While long power cuts in Distt-Doda has become a regular feature with the on set of winters, the area also facing great shortage of fire wood and K.oil.
Govt had to face great embracement this year in Distt-Doda because of the early chilly cold and shortage of essential commodities but authorities has failed to wake up from deep slumber.
Reports from far off areas of Doda-Distt Bhalessa, Saraz, Padder, Marwah, Dachin and Warwan said that people are seen in long ques at the K.oil depots waiting for their turn but every time they had to go back empty handed .So far as the supply of power is concerned the unscheduled power cuts prolong for 6-9 hours per day, with most of areas experienced darkness during night hours.
It is believed this year people of this far off area face starvation in case the govt failed to take early action till snow fall in towns also.
According to highly placed sources local administration of different towns of Distt –Doda is busy in bringing Deodar wood from forests for their own interest with out taking care of national wealth where there is clean decision of the Supreme Court to ban on cutting of green trees. |
