Vinod Pandits indefinite hunger strike enters 3rd Day: BJP extends support | Jammu leaders appeal masses to join the moment to save temples of J&K | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, October 9 : Bharatiya Janat Party (BJP) today extended its full support to the indefinite hunger strike of Vinod Pandit for his 6-point charter of demands with senior BJP leader and MLA Ashok Khajuria alongwith others activists visiting the hunger strike venue as a show of his party’s support. Paviter Singh, retired Judge and president Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) also extended his organizations support to the agitation and joined the hunger strikers as a token of their support to the cause. Meanwhile Vinod Pandits indefinite hunger strike which is gaining momentum by the day entered its 3rd day today even as various leaders of Jammu based organizations who are supporting Vinod Pandits indefinite hunger strike near Press Club Jammu today appealed the masses of Jammu irrespective of their party affiliations to come out in open support of the Indefinite Hunger strike as the issues highlighted in 6-point charter of demands concerns all the Hindus of J&K as well as rest of the world. Kundan Kashmiri, National President Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) alongwith a dozen of KPC activists also arrived from New Delhi to sit on a day long hunger strike in support of Vinod Pandits 6-point charter of demands. He said that control from a particular trust must be wrested and given to the Temples and Shrines Board of J&K so that all the temples get a single body to manage the affairs. Demanding high level probe into the multi-crore scandal in temples and shrines land encroachment as well as illegal selling of temples and Shrines land, Mahajan said that Dogra organizations have come out in support of Vinod Pandits indefinite hunger strike only because they found the causes more important for Jammuites because they have been facing the degradation of temples and shrines at the hands of some selfish elements despite the fact that this city is known as city of temples.
