14 bovine animals rescued in Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 10:Udhampur Police today rescued 14 bovine animals from the clutches of the bovine smugglers in two separate cases. Based on an input today, two special nakas were laid by the parties of Police Station Udhampur at National Highway near Jakheni and one of the Police naka party intercepted one Mahindra 207 bearing Registration No JK19-0473. The suspected smuggler identified as Mohd Rafi son of Firoz Din of Maitra, Ramban fled away noticing the surprise naka party. 3 Bovine animals were recovered and vehicle carrying them was seized on the spot. In this connection, a Case FIR No. 254/2011 under section 188/RPC, 3 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Udhampur. Besides this, other Police naka party noticed one suspicious person near Jakheni who was smuggling 11 Bovine animals to Kashmir Valley on foot. Police party asked him to stop, but he fled away leaving behind 11 bovine animals which were being smuggled to Kashmir valley. All the bovine animals were seized and a police party was dispatched to apprehend the suspicious smuggler identified as Sain son of Fajji of Manwal. In this connection, a Case FIR No. 253/2011 under section 188/RPC stands registered at Police Station Udhampur. In another instance, taking a serious note of the activities of eve teasers, Udhampur Police arrested on eve teaser who used to tease a school going girl of his locality. On the complaint of the mother of the victim girl, Udhampur Police swung into action and arrested the eve teaser namely Arun Gupta son of Sham Lal Gupta of Omara Morh, Udhampur. A case FIR No. 255/2011 under section 294 of RPC stands registered against him at Police Station, Udhampur.
