IMGA bags first prize in Light Vocal Solo
Jammu , Oct 10
Rabjot Singh from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu bagged the First Prize whereas Anjusha Bharti from the Govt. Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Apoorva Jamwal from Govt. Women College, Parade, Jammu fetched the Second and Third Prize, respectively in the on going “Display Your Talent” 2011-12, the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu conducted the Light Vocal Solo event at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Vishwa Gandharv Kaswalia from Sant Rocha Singh Degree College, Jammu and Rahul Kumar from Govt. Women College, Parade.
Chand Narayan, T.R. Sharma and Balbir Beera, were the adjudicators for this event.
Dr. Shardha Sharma was the Teacher Incharge for the Light Vocal Solo event.
Prof. Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, was the Chief Guest on this occasion and distributed the prizes amongst the winners.
The programme was compeered by Rani Kumari, Secretary, Students Cultural Council whereas Joginder Singh acted as the time keeper.
Two minutes of silence was observed as a mark of respect after the untimely death of Renowned Ghazal King Jagjit Singh.
Among others Prof. N.K. Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Neeru Sharma, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Vinay Thusoo, Public Relations Officer, Tearcher Incharges from the various Colleges, Hardeep Singh, Rajwinder Kour & Mukesh Kumar, were also present.
