Six stolen mobiles recovered, one arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 10:Police apprehended a mobile thief and recovered six mobiles from his possession. According to sources, after sustained questioning of a large number of suspects in theft cases, Gangyal Police succeeded in apprehending a notorious thief involved in theft of mobile phones. Police recovered six mobile phones from his possession which he had stolen by breaking open the shop of one Ajmer Singh son of Chuni Lal of Greater Jammu. A case FIR No.50/2011 under section 457/380 RPC had been registered at PS Gangyal in this connection and investigation was on. The arrested thief has been identified as Harjeet Singh alias Sunny son of Bhupinder Singh of Kunjwani who is a professional thief and is already under trial in case FIR No.90/2006 u/s 457/380 RPC PS Gangyal in which he had stolen twenty-two thousand rupees cash from Gagan Factory in the year 2006. Recently a non-bailable arrest warrant of the said thief had also been issued by the concerned trial Court for his non appearance. Further interrogation of the arrested thief is going on to ascertain his involvement in other cases and find out his other associates.
