| Shiv Sena protests water, electricity tariff hike | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 10:Dogra Front & Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir today took out a procession against the increase in water and electricity tariffs by PHE and Power Development departments respectively.
The Shiv Sena workers led by their president Ashok Gupta started their protest march from Raghunath Chowk which culminated at Press Club.
The protesters lamented the hike in tariff by PHE department of water from 260 to 800 and increase in tariff by PDD by 20%
They said that the increase affects all other essential items of routine use and making it difficult for a common man to survive.
Ashok Gupta called recent increase in the tariff of water and electricity as failure of the coalition government and their policies on economic front and further expressed surprise as the Chief Minister of the state has not uttered a single word over the recent increase.
