Beware of civil society groups, they represent vested interests | Yousuf's Death | | Neha JAMMU, Oct 10: Beware of the so-called Indian civil society groups and their number cannot be counted. They do not represent the civil society. They represent regressive and intolerant forces. They are the mouthpieces of the separatists, communalists and extremists who have been operating in different parts of the country, including Kashmir, since decades, with a view to breaking India into smithereens. They mint easy money. They have been floated, funded and controlled by mercenaries, separatists, communalists and persons with Left leanings. They do not consider India a nation state. They consider India a congregation of several nations and vouch for a system that grants each nation the right to secede from India. They masquerade as peace-mongers, peaceniks, human rights activists, secularists, liberals and democrats and want everyone to accord legitimacy to the politics of separatism and extremism. These so-called civil society groups openly defend the brutal and cold-blooded killings of innocent civilians at the hands of the Maoist terrorists and Islamic terrorists and they blame the Indian State for whatever the Maoist terrorists and Islamic terrorists do to achieve their sinister designs. They defend abductions. They defend extortions. They defend armed rebellion. And, they also get support from certain dubious organizations, based in London and other European countries like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch and openly preach sedition in the name of civil liberties. These so-called civil society groups belong to that school of thought that believes in the politics of bloodshed; that believes in anarchy and lawlessness; that despises the rule of law; that hails the merchants of death and destruction as freedom fighters; that believes in the destruction of schools, hospitals, public property and loot and plunder; and that preaches hatred and contempt for the institution of the state. As a matter of fact, these so-called civil society groups do not believe in the concepts of State, Sovereignty, nation, nationalism and borders. These civil society groups always remain quite active because they earn money by siding with extremists, communalists and separatists and by unleashing a no-holds-barred campaign in favour of the terrorists, killers and subversives. Actually, these are business houses. They become more active when the state apparatus finally decides to strike or take action against these anarchists, disturbers of peace and killers. Paradoxically, these so-called civil society groups have made deep inroads in the media. There are anchors in the leading private TV channels who allow civil society operatives ample time to defend the actions of terrorists, extremists and separatists and pour venom on the very institution of the state. In fact, some of the anchors have become part of the movement these so-called civil society groups have been carrying on. They invite Arundhati Roy. They invite Gautam Navlakha. They invite Kamal Mitra Chenoy. They invite those representing the dubious PUCL and similar other organizations with dubious credentials. They invite Seema Mustafa. They invite Ram Jethmalani. They invite Rajinder Sachhar and who not so that they are able to denounce India and promote the cause of separatists, communalists and disturbers of peace. The most horrible aspect of the whole situation has been that there are elements in the political establishment who give patronage to these so-called civil society groups overlooking their sinister designs. It is time for all right thinking people to start a campaign against these so-called civil society groups so that they are isolated and brought to justice. A relentless campaign against them has become all the more imperative considering the fact that they have not uttered a word on the mysterious death of NC activist Haji Syed Mohammad Yousuf. Surprisingly, even the Kashmiri separatists and agents of Pakistan have thought it prudent to ignore the said death. Why? |
