JBA to launch vigorous campaign against discrimination, corruption and illiteracy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Oct 11: The Central Executive Committee meeting of Jammu Bachao Andolan ( J.B.A. ) started here today at its HQs New Plot Jammu, under the chairmanship of Wing Commander, Retired G.L. Sharma, on the occasion of its 3rd foundation day. The in-depth deliberations of its veteran leaders culminated with a preliminary resolution that “the Jammu Bachao Andolan will launch a vigorous campaign during its 3rd year of inception against the discrimination, corruption and illiteracy ". The issues thrown open during the brain storming deliberations were discrimination, injustice, unbalanced development, non-responsive governance, corruption, illiteracy, social evils, environmental & psychological pollution, drug addiction, poverty & crime against women, society and country, global warming, legal & consumer unawareness, and will remain the agenda of the organization committed to fight against the discrimination with the people of all the 10 districts of Jammu region by the state and the central governments from time to time. The day long discussions also resolved to appeal the members of Jammu Bachao Andolan and anti-discrimination forces in particular and people of Jammu in general to unite at a single platform to save themselves from the socio-economic disparities. The prominent among those who participated and presented their viewpoint included Ashok Sharma, H.S. Baloria, Davinder Singh Jamwal, M.S. Jamwal and S.K. Sharma. The Wing Commander G.L. Sharma disclosed that various issues including the political empowerment of all the three regions of the State in a just manner is the only solution and delimitation of the assembly constituencies which shall not only satisfy the regional aspirations of the people of all the three regions but also cool down the discontent prevailing in the regions, will remain on the deliberations agenda.
