| Y4PK to hold “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 11:Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) under the aegis of Panun Kashmir will hold the “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference” on 17th and 18th of December 2011 at Pune.
The main purpose of Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) is to consolidate the scattered Kashmiri Pandit youth across the globe in Diaspora with the aim to infuse a new spirit among them and to channelize their potential for struggle of achievement of Separate Homeland in Kashmir valley and to work towards reversing the cause of genocide and exodus of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
Addressing the media Rahul Kaul, a prominent KP youth entrepreneur and the coordinator of the “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference” informed that the organizational activities are in full swing in almost all the states of country, where regular follow up of arrangements for “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference” are taking place.
Kaul gave list of activities that would emanate from this International Conference for the KP youth, to be undertaken in respect of not only connecting to their roots but also to work towards neutralizing threat perception from forces inimical to very existence and survival of over seven lakh Kashmiri Pandits in exile. Rahul Kaul said that preceding the conference dialogues, discourses, views and suggestions between members of KP youth scattered globally, were held through tele-conferencing and other modes of communication from past three months.
Ajay Khosa coordinator of the Jammu chapter said that the “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference” bears a special significance for the KP youth of the Jammu region, as they have to play a significant role in connecting the KP youth in diaspora to their roots.
Agnishekhar while summing up the aims, objectives and thrust areas of Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) reiterated that KP youth has risen to challenges faced by the KP community at large like those of social, religious, cultural and political. He said that it is the high time to globally consolidate the scattered KP youth and to make them realize the dire need of their participation to strengthen the ongoing struggle for attainment of Separate Homeland in Kashmir Valley.
Youth from the exiled Kashmiri Pandit community who have excelled in their respective area of activities will be felicitated and honoured in the “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference”. Kaul said a souvenir will also be released shortly in respect of the Conference.
Exhibitions, cultural programs and the glimpses of trail of holocaust heaped on the KP community shall be the hallmark of the “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference”.
The prominent feature of the conference would be the ways and means of ensuring educational and economic empowerment of the KP youth and to nurture the talented human resource in the community.
The “1st International Kashmiri Pandit Youth Conference” will also address the core issues of cultural genocide and historical distortions undertaken by the powers at state and central level. Prominent personalities from theatre, politics, culture and industry shall be gracing the occasion.
