| Court awards 3 year imprisonment to Bangladeshi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu 11-2011-(JNF) Special Magistarte Passanger Tax VS Manhas today
awarded three years imprisonment and fine Rs 10,000 to One
Rafiq-ul-Isallam r/o Chand Pur, Madh Pur District Bevebira BanglaDesh
u/s 14 Forigen Act and EIIPA who was apprhended by the BFS on June 5,
2010 while he was corssing over to Pakistan from Indian Terroirty.
According to the Prosecution Case on June 5, 2010 BSF
Officer Sukh Dev Singh appeared in P/S Kanachak along with his Guards
along with an wriiten complaint in which it has been submitted that
the accused was apprehnded while was infiltrate into the Pak Terroitoy
from the Indian Side. The police after registering and started
investigation and after completion of the investigation presented
Challan in the Court of law.
The court after hearing Prosecuting Officer Yogesh
Bamba appearing for the state observed that the intention of the
accused was just to corss over to Pak from the Indian Terroitoy and
was not for staying India any longer but was apprehended by the BSF.
The accused convited 14-A of Foreign Act and sentence to undergo two
years imprisonment and also fine Rs 5000 and further the accused
convicted u/s 3 EIIPA and fine 5000. In default of Payment of total Rs
10,000 accused shall further under imprisonment for six months. JNF
