| Motorcycle lifter held; 11 mobikes recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 11: Police have arrested a motorcycle lifter, said to be the kingpin of the
gang, and recovered eleven mobikes, mostly Passion Plus, which he had allegedly
stolen from different city areas.
He was identified as Rahim Din alias Kallu, son of Jamait Ali Gujjar of Khairi. With his arrest, police claims to have busted a gang of motorcycle lifters.
Police sources said he and his accomplices mostly stole Passion Plus motorcycles because it was easy to start them with the help of a master key. Kallu was picked up after police developed specific information about his unlawful activities. His sustained questioning led cops of Trikuta Nagar police station to the recovery of eleven motorcycles which he had stolen from different areas during the past few months, the sources added.
The mobikes stolen by him belong to Ganga Sagar Gupta, son of Bal Krishan Gupta of Partapgarh Mohalla, Deep Singh, son of Kehar Singh of Majeen, Sidhra, Anil Sharma, son of Dipti Lal Sharma of JDA Colony, Janipura, Rohit Sharma, son of Hira Lal Sharma of Dhakki Hajama, Deepak Gupta, son of Charan Dass Gupta of Partapgarh Mohalla, Ram Krishan Koul, son of Shankar Nath Koul of Purkhoo Camp, Mukesh Kumar, son of Parkash Nath of TalabTillo, Sahil Malik, son of Mohammad Sadiq Malik of Gujjar Nagar,and Chander Mohan, son of Om Parkash of Singhpura Maralian in R S Pura.
