Manohar holds public meeting at Makwal
Lays foundation stone of Allopathic Dispensary

KATHUA, OCTOBER 11- Minister of State for Cooperatives, Finance and Planning Dr Manohar Lal Sharma convened a Public Darbar at village Makwal of tehsil Billawar here at Kathua today.
Assistant Registrar Cooperatives, Kathua, XEN PWD Billawar, panches and sarpanches and large number of people of the area attended the meeting.
Dr Sharma listened to the problems of people and passed on spot instructions to the officers to mitigate their problems.
Sarpanch halqa Makwal demanded early construction of panchayat ghar building, room for middle school makwal, English lecturer in Ramkot higher secondary, up gradation of middle school, pending one year salary of angawadi helpers, replacement of rubber pipe with G.I pipes, street lights at public places, handpump at panchayat ghar, ground for club Ghar, park for Chintpurani Mata Mandir, bridge over Nallah bhalode, aaganwadi centre for khardi ward.
Besides, Naib Sarpanch Makwal demanded hand pumps for the area, street club at chinji and club ghar, blacktopping of chugan -madhal road.
Responding to the demands Dr Manohar Lal Sharma assured that their demands will be redressed in phased manner. He added that coalition government is committed for equal development of all the three regions. He appealed to the panches and sarpanches to play active role for the development of their respective area. He added that inhabitants should take advantage of the government schemes such as MANREGA which not only provide employment but also bring development of the villages.
Dr Sharma instructed the PWD officers to complete ongoing development works within stipulated time. He also directed PWD to complete the remaining work of Ramkot-Majalta road. He also announced one hand pump for the area. He said government is committed to improve road Connectivity in rural areas. He also assured that the pending demands will be redressed in phased manners.
Earlier, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma laid foundation stone of Allopathic Dispensary at village Makwal which will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 89.50 lakh with the modern state of art building. The construction work of the dispensary will be executed by the PWD agency.
