| Horti Deptt organizes awareness camp at Chingam | | |

An awareness camp was organized by Horticulture Department at Chingam in compliance to the instructions of Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad in his recent visit to Chingam, Chatroo regarding massive fruit plantation in the area.
During the camp, the District Horticulture Officer, Doda, Horticulture Development Officer, Chatroo besides other field functionaries of the department spoke on the occasion.
The participants were educated regarding plantation, after care of fruit saplings and pruning/training of fruit plants. The farmers were made aware about various incentives being provided by the department for the establishment of orchards, rejuvenation of old orchards, establishment of green houses and fruit plant nurseries in private sectors.
Director Horticulture, Jammu Mr M.S Qasba instructed all the Horticulture Officers of Jammu Division to gear up the field functionaries of the department so that plantation targets are achieved well in time and the plantation in snow bound areas like Marwah and Warwan is completed before snowfall
