Khidmat center members applaud Omar | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: Indian Federation of Common Service Centre (IFCSC) today held an all members meet of Khidmat Centres to convey their gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for extending support to them. They applauded Omar for enhancing the stipend to Rs. 5500 per VLE’s. Speaking on the occasion, they thanked Minister for Information Technology Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi. Members of executive body of Indian Federation of Common Service Centre said that this step will definitely help poor VLE’s from J&K state at this crucial stage of their career and responsibility towards their families. They further said that this step of Omar Abdullah would make Khidmat centres popular because J&K is the first in the country where government has personally shown keen interest for the upliftment and promotion of Information Technology at grassroot level by extending help to the Common Service Centres. Members further said that after the announcement of financial support by government, VLEs are likely to be assigned services under their command and control. In the end, all the members said that they would continue to make efforts to provide services in a stipulated and reasonable time as per advertised in documents notification and advertisement provided by the nodal agency in the state.
