Soz pledges to fight for implementation of 73rd constitutional amendment

HIRANAGAR, Oct 11: State President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Prof. Saifuddin Soz, MP (former Union Minister) addressed a largely attended public meeting at Hiranagar today.
He was accompanied by Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla, Senior Vice-President PCC Mangat Ram Sharma, Senior Vice-President PCC Dharampal Sharma and other senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).
Speaking on the occasion, Soz asked the people that their demands like solving problems of refugees, declaring of Hiranagar as modern railway station and removing difficulties in the implementation of Roshni Act would be solved on the principle of justice and equity.
He (Soz) also informed the gathering that the recent visit of Shri Rahul Gandhi-General Secretary AICC to the state has left very good impact on the political situation of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly functioning of the Congress party. On this occasion Prof. Soz told the gathering that it was a heartening situation that Rahul Ji’s dealing to the people was direct, democratic and transparent.
He assured the people that Congress party would fight and get the provisions of 73rd amendment accepted by the coalition government. Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Shri Raman Bhalla in his address said that problems of Refugees in Jammu are being looked into properly. He also accepted suggestion of PCC President that he will constitute a committee to go into the proper implementation of the Roshni Act.
Speaking on the occasion Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma exhorted the people to strengthen the congress party, as that is the only way to serve the people. Among others who spoke on the occasion included Hari Singh, Yash Paul Khajuria, Gurmukh Singh, Prem Sagar Aziz, Swarn Lata, Kuldip Raj Verma, Indu Pawar, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Mula Ram, Girdhari Lal Chalotra, Manjit Singh, Shiv Dev Singh, Parkash Sharma, Hans Raj Bhagat, Manmohan Singh, Hari Singh Chib; Pankaj Dogra, Neeraj Gupta, Jagdish Dogra, Sanjeev Sharma, Sardar Khan, Vijay Tagotra, Nirdosh Sharma and Tilak Raj.
