| Parveet, Poonam clinches first, second prize in Dance competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 11: Paveet Kour and Poonam Kumari both from Govt Women College, Parade fetched the first and second prize in creative dance (Solo), respectively under the ongoing “Display Your Talent” 2011-12 organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
Kanu Singh from the Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Punam Gupta from Govt. Degree College, Kathua, were awarded Certificates of Merit.
Advocate Shilpa Kotwal, Mitalli Gupta and Bindiya Tickoo Raina, were the experts for this event.
Dr Seema Sharma was the Teacher Incharge for the Creative Dance Solo event and made the participants conversant with the Rules and Regulations.
Prof. Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee in presence of Prof. N.K. Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare distributed the prizes amongst the winners.
The programme was compeered by Rani Kumari, secretary, Students Cultural Council.
Meanwhile the Results of the short story writing contest conducted earlier were also declared. The Story written by Vasundhara Sharma from the Department of Law Ishtiaq Ahmed from Govt MAM College, Jammu and Prannoy Kundan from The Law School, University of Jammu` were adjudged as Best Story in Hindi, Urdu and English respectively.
A Story Written by Rakshit Sharma from GGM Science College, Jammu and Pankhuri Aggarwal from Govt. Women College, Parade, Jammu, bagged Certificates of Merit.
