Omar meets Chidambaram

New Delhi: A day ahead of interlocutors submitting their report, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah left for New Delhi where he held meeting with Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram .
While the main agenda of today's meeting was seeking early implementation of interlocutors reccomendations, CM also discussed with him matters relating to the revocation of AFSPA in certain areas of the State.
Omar Abdullah said that the gradual improvement in the security scenario and restoration of peace has paved the way for revocation of AFSPA in peaceful areas of the State.
Omar Abdullah termed as phenomenal work done by the Interlocutors in the State and complimented the Home Minister for his contribution in their appointment. He emphasized on implementations of the recommendations to be made by the Interlocutors through their report likely to be presented tomorrow.
The Home Minister assured full support to the State Government in its endeavour to maintain peace and give considerable fillip to the developmental activities.
