| Let the CM be true to his tall claims: AJKMPJ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 12: A meeting of All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice was held at Joura under the chairmanship of Anil Kumar, chairman AJKMPJ Block Thathri
In the meeting the deliberations made included that public feels delighted when they listen to Chief Minister’s repeated statements that he wants to see the development works being done accurately, honestly and speedily.
But in one case (there are dozens or even hundreds more) we see the failure of these claims of him though not directly because of him.
Two buildings one each of Boys Middle School Joura Kalan & that of Middle School Kunthal (ST population) of Tehsil Thathri, District Doda were constructed in a very defective way and also defective material has been used.
There is every possibility that they may collapse any time during the rainy season. The G.I sheets of Boys middle school Joura Kalan have already got blown off by a slight wind storm and the children had a narrow escape by the grace of God.
The awakened public of the area got an inquiry initiated through vigilance commissioner office Jammu who instructed the D.C Doda, who further directed ZEO Bhatyas to conduct the inquiry.
The ZEO Bhatyas conducted the fair inquiry and the concerned J.E and the contractors to be at fault and reprimanded them in presence of the public which compelled both these functionaries to admit their mistake publicly and they proposed that they would make up for all the deficiencies.
Later they were encouraged by some political figures and also by some vested interests not to get scared assuring them that they would not let them be harmed.
Reversing the needles of the clock, they are now themselves issuing serious threats to those who had lodged the complain and got the inquiry initiated.
AJKMPJ appeal once again to the Chief Minister that if his professed intentions are true, he should take personal interest in this case and not considering this to be a minor case of corruption, get the erring officials punished so that it may serve as a strong deterrent to others who may think of committing such gross irregularities in the near future.
AJKMPJ felt sorry to say that the Chief Minister has not done any thing so far despite being apprised of this matter since June this year.
The members present in the meeting were Ashok Kumar (vice president) block Thathri, Subash Chander (general secretary), Surjeet Singh,Kulwant Singh(member), Chain Singh (member) and others.
