| Meeting convened for development works of ITDC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua 12 October, The DC Kathua Zaheedha Khan has convened the meeting of the office bearer of National Highway Authority and ITDC to discuss the long pending development works of the ITDC in Kathua.
The DC Kathua has urged the entire administration of both NHA and ITDC to complete their works as soon as possible so people of the Kathua may get the relief from suffering of so many problems.
On the occasion a thread wear discussion was held on the main issues such as plantation, construction of passenger sheds with modern facilities, compensation to the people whose land was acquired by the NHA for Lakhanpur by pass road, non functioning of the water reservoir, construction of Lakhanpur Flyover and Sign board.
Col. M.K Jain project Director of National Highway Authority of India J&K said that the NHA is doing all its developmental works with its own norms and rule so far as the plantation is concerned that the authority has already submitted a plantation proposal with the union government and on sanctioning of the funding the plantation would be started with immediate effect in the divider.
And the passenger sheds would also be constructed very soon with modern facilities, and the compensation to the people whine land had been acquired for the construction of Lakhanpur Bypass would be given as per the settlement of the NHA norms.
After the meeting the DC directed the Tehsildhar Kathua Avatar Singh, DTI Ashwani Sharma, ETO Alias Khan, along with NHA and ITDC members Shanti Jain (Team Leader), Mishra (Project Incharge), and Sanjeev Sharma (Project Manager ITDC) to visit the spot at Lakhanpur to assess the height of the development works of NHA and ITDC.
