| Village Dohant now to be known as Bhowani | | |

Governor Lt General (Retd) S.K. Sinha has directed that the name of village Dohant situated in tehsil Nowshera, district Rajouri, which interalia also falls in the list of villages categorized as ‘Actual Line of Control’ in the notification SRO 294 of 2005 dated October 21, 2005 shall be deemed to have been substituted by village “Bhowani”.
A notification for substitution in nomenclature from Dohant to Bhowani issued by Secretary Social Welfare Mr. N.K. Verma as SRO 364 reads that the substitution has been directed in exercise of powers conferred to the Governor under proviso to section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir read with Article 15 (4) and 16(4) and other relevant provisions of the Constitution of India as applicable to the state.
