| Display Your Talent | | GCW Parade wins classical vocal contest | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 12: The Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu
on Wednesday conducted classical vocal (solo) competition under the
ongoing ‘Display Your Talent’ at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium on
21st day of the event.
Mukteshi Sharma and Rahul Kumar from GCW Parade bagged the first and
second prize respectively whereas Indu Bala from Institute of Music
and Fine Arts (IMFA) Jammu was awarded third prize.
Amneet Kaur and Anjusha Bharti from GCW Gandhi Nagar were awarded the
certificates of merit. Veena Gupta, Chand Narayan and Satya Bhama were
the adjudicators for the contest.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, director, The Business School was the chief guest
who distributed prizes among the winners in presence of Dean Students
Welfare N K Tripathi.
The welcome address was delivered by Vinay Thusoo, Public Relations
Officer. Suvidha Khanna was the teacher incharge and made the
participants well conversant with the rules and regulations.
Among others, Jasbir Singh, Chairman, campus cultural committee, Vijay
Atri, Rani Kumari, secretary, SCC, Pooja Langeh, Joint Secretary, SCC,
Bhanu Partap, Teacher Incharge from various affiliated colleges and
students were present on this occasion.
The department will organise mime, mimicry and mono acting after the
contests tomorrow.
