| PDP youth wing holds demonstration, demands inquiry into Yousuf’s murder case | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 12: To lodge protest against Omar Abdullah led government for patronizing corruption, youth wing of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Rajinder Singh Manhas, state vice president and Nadeem Khan, state general secretary organized a massive demonstration shouting slogans against State Government for legalizing corruption, the protest demonstration passed through different localities of old city.
Hundreds of youth from different parts of Jammu city participated in the protest demonstration.
Addressing party workers, Rajinder Manhas said during the last three years Omar Abdullah regime has crossed all limits of corruption. He said that recent killing of Haji Mohammad Yosuf has exposed misdeeds of the present regime headed by Omar Abdullah.
He regretted that instead of properly investigating the matter, Omar Abdullah government was brazenly trying to hide this sensational murder.
Manhas said this murder, on the one hand has exposed insensitivity of the government towards human values on the other hand this incident has exposed that corruption has reached from bottom to higher level.
He called upon the party workers to intensify the on-going campaign against Omar Abdullah government because this regime has become a liability on the common masses. “On the one hand this regime has failed to solve basic problems of the masses while on the other this government has been encouraging corruption and nepotism”, Manhas said. Addressing the party workers, Nadeem Khan demanded sacking of Omar Abdullah government for impartial and fair probe into the killing of Mohammad Yousuf. “Fair probe is not possible as long as Omar Abdullah is at the helm of the affair because Chief Minister himself is an accused in this case”, he maintained and asserted that PDP would take this fight to the logical conclusion so as to give justice to the family of Mohammad Yousuf.
He regretted that present National Conference led regime has crossed all limits of corruption and common people were bearing brunt of mis-deeds of this regime. He regretted that present NC regime was repeating the same blunders which were earlier committed by the NC led regime from 1996 to 2002.
Deepu Chib, Gurdeep Singh Pandey, Ahsan Mirza, Majid Shah, Varinder Singh Sonu, Bharat Kumar, Puneet Jamwal, Vikram Singh, Rashpal Billowaria, Ramesh Singh Jamwal, Rizwan Mirza, Tanveer Dar and others also addressed the demonstration.
