Mangat, Priya Dutt, galaxy of intellectuals attend colourful function at Jammu

Jammu, Dec 8
Paying rich tributes to former Union Minister Member Parliament and one of the greatest artists of Indian Film Industry, Mr. Sunil Dutt, Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma said that late Dutt’s contribution for the society, country and silver screen would always inspire people to contribute actively for the cause of national unity, integrity and communal harmony.
Mr. Sharma, who was the Chief Guest at Annual Day Function of a Lawarance Public School, dedicated to late Sunil Dutt said that even as an actor Mr. Dutt’s all films were focused on reformative aspects and evils affecting the society and Ms. Priya Dutt was impressed with the classical and excellent performance of artists and students.
Member Parliament Ms.Priya Dutt and daughter of Former MP Sunil Dutt, who especially came to city of temple to attend the school function was the guest of honour.
He said that Sadbavana Ke Sepahi movement started by late Dutt has emerged as national campaign and made great impact in the hearts of every individual especially the student community.
The Minister alongwith Ms. Priya Dutt and other dignitaries released magazine Nivada titled Sadbavana-feel the magic of love, dedicated to late Sunil Dutt. The magazine was prepared by the students.
Ms. Priya Dutt in her address said that she was pleased to note that message of Sadbavan ke Sepahi is reaching every nook and corner of the country and the vision of late Mr. Sunil Dutt is percolating enthusiasm in the school children. She thanked the school administration, children and people of Jammu for showing great love, affection and dedication towards the cause of spreading the message of Sadbavana, a campaign launched by her father.
Director Information, Khawaja Farooq Renzu, Secretary Culture Academy, state president Sadbavana-Ke-Sepoy Mr. S.P. Verma, Wing Comd. (Retd.) M. M. Yoshi, Retd Mr. Justice Gupta, Ms. Jugal Kishore, Justice S. K. Gupta, students, parents, teachers and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
The memento was presented by Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma to Ms. Priya Dutt and Ms. Priya Dutt presented memento to Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, Mr. Rafiq Masoodi, Khawaja Farooq Renzu and other intellectuals.
Management of School presented a painting of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi to Ms. Priya Dutt.
Students presented a variety cultural programme comprising skits, songs and dances based on national unity, integrity; communal harmony and diversity which received applaud from the jam packed audience.
Principal of the school presented annual performance of the school.
